National identity often extends beyond regional boundaries. The narrative of VOID emerges from my personal experience with my birth nationality, capturing the emotions of loss, disconnection, and acceptance following its legal relinquishment.

Outdated passports are indicated by their hollow covers. Some carry one or two holes, while others have a prominent punched across their front covers. This imprint became the foundation for my visual exploration, with an emphasis in the joining and disconnection of legibility through physical distance and space.

To be void is to be left with nothing. A passport may be void— but it can always be of value.
